KUSUN TAIWAN CO., LTD.. and its subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “the Company”, “KUSUN TAIWAN CO., LTD..”) are committed to protecting your privacy rights. This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) explains our privacy practices regarding personal data when you use the following services, products and related mobile applications (collectively referred to as “the 商品”):

Before using the 商品, please read this Policy carefully to understand the purposes and practices of our collection and processing of your personal data, including how we use, store, share and transmit personal data. Under this Policy, you will also learn how to exercise your rights to access, update, delete or protect your personal data.

For other brand mobile applications technically supported by KUSUN TAIWAN CO., LTD.., our clients control all personal data collected through the 商品. We collect information in accordance with our clients’ instructions, and such information shall only be processed for the purpose of providing services entrusted by our clients. If you are a client of our client and no longer wish to be contacted by clients using our services, please contact the client you interact with directly.
1. Definitions
In this Policy,
Personal Data means information recorded electronically or by other means that can be used to identify an individual or reflect personal activities, including an individual identifiable by such information alone or in combination with other information accessible to us.
Sensitive Personal Data includes personal biometric information, communication records and contents, health information, transaction information, and precise location information. When we collect sensitive personal data from you, we will provide explicit notice and obtain your consent prior to collection.
Smart Device means computing devices produced or manufactured by hardware manufacturers with human-machine interfaces and wireless network data transmission capabilities, including smart home appliances, smart wearable devices, smart air purification equipment, etc.
Kusun Smart means the mobile application developed by KUSUN TAIWAN CO., LTD., which provides end-users with remote control of smart devices and the ability to connect to vendors’ IoT platforms.
2. What Personal Data Do We Collect?
To provide you with services, we will request necessary personal data from you. If you fail to provide such data, we may be unable to deliver our products or services to you.
A. Information You Voluntarily Provide to Us
- Account Registration Information
When registering an account with us, we may collect your name and contact details, such as email address, phone number, username and login credentials. During your interaction with the 商品, we may further collect your nickname, profile avatar, country code, language preference or time zone information into your account.
If you authorize login to the 商品 via a third-party account, we will obtain your account information (such as avatar, nickname, region, gender, etc.) from such third party, which may be bound to your KUSUN TAIWAN CO., LTD.. account for quick login. When processing your personal data, we will ensure compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations, as well as agreements, policies or documents regarding personal information sharing with such third party.
- Feedback
When using the feedback and suggestion function in the 商品, we will collect your email address, phone number and your feedback content to promptly resolve your issues and device malfunctions.
B. Information Based on Additional Functions (System Permissions)
To provide more convenient, high-quality services and optimize user experience, we may collect and use specific information if you consent to use additional functions in the App. Please note that if you do not provide such information, you may continue to use basic services of the App and connected smart devices, but certain features based on these additional functions may be unavailable. Such additional functions include:
- Location-based Additional Functions
When you enable location-based functions via permission settings on your mobile device, we will collect and process your location information to activate such functions, e.g., pairing with your smart devices. In addition, we may collect: (a) real-time precise location (e.g., when you choose to use automated scenes for controlling smart devices), or (b) non-precise geographic location (when using certain smart devices or services such as robotic vacuums and weather services).
With your consent, when you enable the geofence function, your location information will be generated and shared with Google Maps services. Please note that Google has corresponding data protection measures; for details, please refer to Google’s Data Processing and Security Terms.
You may disable the collection and use of location information by changing your mobile device settings (Me – Settings – Privacy Settings – Toggle Location Information), and we will cease collecting and using your location information thereafter.
- Camera-based Additional Services
You may enable camera permissions to scan barcodes for smart device pairing, video recording, etc. Please note that even if you consent to enable camera permissions, we will only obtain information when you actively use the camera for scanning, video recording and other operations.

- Album (Gallery/Video Library) Access and Upload Additional Services
After enabling album permissions, you may use this function to upload photos/pictures/videos for changing avatars, reporting device usage issues with photo evidence, etc. We will not identify such information when you use photo-related functions; however, when you report device usage issues, we may use your uploaded photos/pictures to locate your problems.
You may opt out of album permission usage: Me – Settings – Privacy Settings – Toggle Album.
- Microphone-related Services
After enabling microphone permissions, you may send voice messages, such as shooting videos, activating voice assistants, etc. For these functions, we will collect your voice information to identify your instructions. Please note that even if you consent to enable microphone permissions, we will only obtain voice information when you actively activate the microphone within the App.
You may opt out of microphone permission usage: Me – Settings – Privacy Settings – Toggle Microphone.
- Storage Permission-based Additional Services (Android)
The purpose is to ensure stable operation of the App through storage permissions. After you grant or allow read/write permissions to your mobile device storage, we will access pictures, files, crash log information and other necessary data from your mobile device storage to provide functions such as information publishing and crash log recording.
You may opt out of storage permission usage: Me – Settings – Privacy Settings – Toggle Storage.
- Notification Permission-based Additional Services
We request this permission to send notifications regarding the use of smart devices or services, especially when you have purchased security services and require alerts or messages to stay updated in real time.
You may opt out of App notifications: Me – Message Center – Settings – Toggle Notifications.
- Floating Window/Alert Window Permission-based Additional Services
You may choose to bind cameras in the App and request the App to display real-time camera images in an independent window.
You may opt out of alert window information usage: Me – Settings – Privacy Settings – Toggle Alert Window.
- Bluetooth Permission-based Additional Services
After enabling permissions, you may activate Bluetooth functions, including controlling smart devices, obtaining status, discovering and configuring smart devices. For these functions, we will communicate with smart devices via Bluetooth. Please note that even if you consent to enable Bluetooth permissions, we will only use Bluetooth for communication in the following scenarios: displaying device status on the homepage and device panel; performing device control on the homepage and device panel; discovering smart devices and configuring device networking on the homepage and Add Device page.
You may opt out of Bluetooth usage via Me – Settings – Privacy Settings – Disable/Enable Bluetooth Permission.
- HomeKit Permission-based Additional Services (iOS)
After enabling HomeKit permissions, you may use related functions including discovering smart devices, activating smart device networking, controlling smart devices and checking device status. For these functions, we will process data through HomeKit with the built-in Home app on iOS. Please note that even if you consent to enable HomeKit permissions, we will only use them in the following scenarios: discovering HomeKit devices and configuring HomeKit device networking on the homepage; discovering HomeKit devices and configuring HomeKit device networking in Settings – HomeKit.
You may opt out of HomeKit permission usage via Me – Settings – Privacy Settings – Toggle HomeKit Permission.
- HealthKit-based Additional Services (iOS)
After enabling HealthKit permissions, you may actively activate related functions including statistics of weight, height, running and swimming. For these functions, we will exchange data through HealthKit with built-in health-related functions on iOS. Please note that even if you consent to enable HealthKit permissions, we will only use them in the following scenario: when you use health-related smart devices (e.g., body fat scales, bracelets, watches) and consent to use HealthKit, data reported by smart devices will be transmitted to HealthKit.
You may opt out of HealthKit permission usage via Me – Settings – Privacy Settings – Toggle HealthKit Permission.
Please note that enabling any permission constitutes your authorization for us to collect and use relevant personal information to provide corresponding services. Disabling any permission shall be deemed as revocation of authorization, and we will cease collecting personal data based on such permission, with relevant functions possibly terminated. However, your decision to disable permissions shall not affect the collection and use of information based on your prior authorization.
C. Information We Automatically Collect
Mobile Device Information: When you interact with our services, we automatically collect mobile device information to provide and maintain normal service operation, improve and optimize services, and protect your account security, such as device model, IP address, wireless connection information, operating system type and version, application version number, push notification identifier, log files and mobile network information. We also collect your software version number. To ensure a secure operating environment or provide services, we collect information about mobile applications and other software you have installed and used.
Usage Data: During your interaction with our website and services, we automatically collect usage data related to visits, clicks, downloads, sending/receiving messages, and other usage of the website and services.
Log Information: When you use the App, system and exception logs may be uploaded to improve your user experience, including your IP address, language preference settings, operating system version, access date or time, facilitating accurate problem identification and timely resolution.
Please note that device information or log information alone cannot be used to identify a specific individual. However, if such non-personal information is combined with other information to identify a specific individual, such information shall be regarded as personal data. We will aggregate or de-identify such information unless we have obtained your consent or as otherwise required by data protection laws and regulations.
D. Smart Device-related Information
Basic Smart Device Information: When you connect smart devices to the service, we may collect basic information about your smart devices, such as device name, device ID, online status, startup time, firmware version and upgrade information.
Information Collected During Connection: Depending on the type of smart device you need to connect, basic information collected includes Wi-Fi information, device MAC address, etc.
Information Reported by Smart Devices: Depending on the different smart devices you choose to connect, we may collect different information reported by your smart devices, such as temperature, humidity, air quality index, etc.
Please note that when you actively consent to access Kusun Smart and the application connects to Apple Health (or other health-related platforms), we will share your measurement data (including only your BMI, height, weight and body fat percentage) with Apple Health. Such data sharing is solely for measuring and analyzing health indicators related to you and will never be disclosed to other third parties. You may disable this function at any time by managing the HealthKit settings page.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing Personal Data
We process your information for the following purposes:
- Provision of Services: We process your account data, mobile device information, usage data, location information and smart device-related information to deliver the services you request. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of a contract under the user agreement or other terms of use.
- Service Improvement: We process your mobile device information, usage data, location information and smart device-related information to ensure functionality and security of services, develop and improve services, analyze operational efficiency, and prevent and track fraud or misuse. The legal basis is the performance of a contract (or legitimate interests) under our user agreement or other terms of use.
- Non-marketing Communications: We process your personal data to send important notifications regarding services, changes to terms and/or other administrative information, as well as notifications related to services you have purchased, such as alert services. You may manage such communications in “App Notifications” (Me > Message Center > Settings > Notification Settings) in the App. When you choose not to enable notification functions, we will no longer process your information for this purpose. The legal basis is the performance of a contract under the user agreement.
- Data Analysis: To analyze product usage and improve your user experience, we will analyze data provided by you: (a) When you encounter malfunctions while using the product, we need to inspect your issues, in which case opt-out may not be available as it is highly relevant to product functionality and usage quality; (b) Analyze how you interact with the product or data in specific scenarios for you to better enjoy service convenience. In such cases, if you disagree with data analysis, you may opt out via the App’s privacy settings (Me > Settings > Privacy Settings > Data Analysis). The legal basis is your consent.
- Marketing Communications and Personalization: We may process your account data, usage data and device information to personalize product design and provide tailored services, such as recommending and displaying relevant product information and advertisements, and inviting you to participate in service-related surveys. If you do not allow us to process your personal data for personalization purposes, you may opt out upon entering the App or by changing preferences in the App’s “Privacy Settings” (Me > Settings > Privacy Settings > Personalization). The legal basis is your consent.
- Legal Compliance: If required by law or if we reasonably believe such use is necessary in good faith, we will disclose information to: (a) comply with legal obligations, procedures or requests; (b) enforce our user agreements and other agreements, policies and standards, including investigating potential violations; (c) protect our operations and business systems; (d) protect the rights, property or safety of us, users, third parties or the public as permitted by law; or (e) conduct risk management, screening and inspection against illegal, fraudulent, deceptive or malicious activities.
In the event of any changes to the purposes of processing personal data, we will notify you of such changes and your choices regarding personal data via email and/or prominent notices on our website.
4. With Whom Do We Share Personal Data?
At KUSUN TAIWAN CO., LTD.., we share personal data only as disclosed to you. We may share your personal data with the following recipients:
- Third-party Service Providers: Third-party service providers that perform certain business-related functions for us, such as website hosting, data analysis, payment and credit card processing, infrastructure provision, IT services, customer support services, email delivery services and other similar services, to enable them to provide services to us.
- Clients and Business Partners: Vendors and business partners that directly or indirectly provide smart devices to you and/or the networks and systems on which you access and use our website and services.
- Affiliated Entities or Subsidiaries: Shared within our corporate group for ordinary business activities, subject to our instructions, applicable laws, this Policy, and appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
- Third-party Assignees: In the event of any reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment or other disposition of all or part of our business, assets or stock (including in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceedings). In such cases, you will be notified of changes in ownership and your choices regarding personal data via email and/or prominent notices on our website.
- Good-faith Disclosure: If we reasonably believe in good faith that access, use, preservation or disclosure of information is reasonably necessary or appropriate to: (a) comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes or lawful government requests; (b) enforce our user agreements and other agreements, policies and standards, including investigating potential violations; (c) protect our operations and business systems; (d) protect the rights, property or safety of us, users, third parties or the public as permitted by law; or (e) conduct risk management, screening and inspection against illegal, fraudulent, deceptive or malicious activities.
Except for the aforementioned third parties, we will disclose your personal data to other third parties only with your consent.
5. International Transfer of Information
KUSUN TAIWAN CO., LTD.. will comply with data localization requirements of relevant jurisdictions. For operational convenience, we may transfer, store and process your personal data in jurisdictions outside your country/region of residence, where laws may differ from those in your country of residence. When doing so, we will ensure adequate protection for information through one or more of the following methods:

- Taiwan PDPA Supplement: Pursuant to Article 24 of the PDPA, international transfer of personal data shall ensure the receiving country provides an equivalent level of protection; if such standard is not met, transfer shall not be conducted without the data subject’s written consent or statutory exceptions.

6. Your Rights Regarding Personal Data
We respect your rights and control over your personal data. You may exercise any of the following rights by emailing service@twkusun.com, or via the “Feedback” path in the App: Me > Personal Center > Account and Security > etc.
You will not be charged any fees, and we will endeavor to respond to you within 30 days. When sending us an email, please clearly specify in your request which information you wish to modify, whether you want your personal data deleted from our database, or what restrictions you wish to impose on our use of your personal data. Please note that for security purposes, we may require you to verify your identity before taking further action on your request.
You may:
- Request access to personal data we process: via Me – Settings – Privacy Settings – Export Personal Data;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data: 1) Modify your account (email address or phone number): Me – Settings – Account and Security – Change Account; 2) Modify nickname and/or time zone: Me – Personal Information;
- Request deletion of personal data: Me – Settings – Account and Security – Delete Account; upon confirmation of account deletion, your personal data will be deleted accordingly;
- Request temporary or permanent restriction of processing of part or all personal data: submit a request via Me – FAQs & Feedback, or send an email to service@twkusun.com;
- Request portability of personal data to you or a third party: submit a request via Me – FAQs & Feedback, or send an email to service@twkusun.com;
- Refuse or object to our use of your personal data, where such use is based on your consent or our legitimate interests.
Withdrawal of Consent
We will respect your privacy rights to withdraw consent as follows:
- For privacy permissions obtained through device system settings, you may withdraw consent by changing device permissions, including location, camera, album (gallery/video library), microphone, Bluetooth settings, notification settings and other related functions;
- You may manage preferences to refuse non-marketing communications via Me > Message Center > Notification Settings;
- You may opt out of data analysis functions via Me > Settings > Privacy Settings;
- You may opt out of personalization functions via Me > Settings > Privacy Settings > Personalization;
- Unbind smart devices from the App, and related smart device information will no longer be collected;
- Use the 商品 in “Trial Mode” without enabling certain location settings for specific smart scenarios, and we will not collect any personal data about you;
- If you previously authorized linking your App account with third-party services (e.g., health platforms), please unbind on the third-party platform.
When you withdraw consent or authorization, we may be unable to continue providing certain corresponding products or services. However, your withdrawal of consent or authorization shall not affect the processing of personal information based on your consent prior to withdrawal.
Regarding account deletion: You may find the deletion function via Me > Settings > Account and Security > Delete Account (deactivate account).
7. Security Measures
We use commercially reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to maintain the integrity and security of your personal data. KUSUN TAIWAN CO., LTD.. provides various security principles to effectively ensure data security for users and devices. For device access, proprietary algorithms of KUSUN TAIWAN CO., LTD.. are adopted to ensure data isolation, access authentication and authorization applications. For data communication, we support secure algorithms, transmission encryption protocols, and commercial-grade information encrypted transmission based on dynamic keys. For data processing, strict data filtering and verification as well as complete data auditing are applied. For data storage, all users’ confidential information is securely encrypted and stored. If you have reason to believe your interaction with us is no longer secure (e.g., you suspect the security of any account you hold with us has been compromised), please notify us immediately of the issue by emailing service@twkusun.com.
8. Data Retention
We process your personal data only for the shortest time necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless specific laws require longer retention. We determine the appropriate retention period based on the volume, nature and sensitivity of your personal data, and upon expiration of the retention period, we will destroy your personal data.
- We retain data as long as you request us to fulfill products and services under your service agreement;
- When you request removal of personal data, we will no longer retain it and complete the deletion accordingly;
- If we are unable to do so for technical reasons, we will ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent any further use of your personal data.
9. Children’s Privacy
Protecting the privacy of young children is particularly important to us. The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of thirteen (13), and we request that such individuals not provide any personal data to us. We will not knowingly collect personal data from children without first obtaining permission from a parent or legal guardian of the child. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental or legal guardian permission, we will take steps to delete such information.
